Each of Powell’s recent drawn works feature a combination of mediums such as graphite, oil stick, pencil crayon, and raw pigment on a variety of large-scale papertypes.

Each piece depicts abstract renditions of common household objects and lucid interpretations of daily life. The variety and harshness of the medium ebbs and flows with movement, like muscle memory, and is balanced by whimsy and play.
